MATHS CLUB

We are a curriculum-based program after school space for primary and secondary students who wish to excel in their maths studies. GURUCOOL is the perfect choice for you to boost your confidence and grades in maths.  We make your math time enjoyable and easy to learn! Our team of experts will help your child understand math in an engaging and fun way. We'll make sure the concepts stick, so you can make long-lasting progress. Our programs are also curriculum-based for primary and secondary students to excel in academics. Math is never boring with our games and puzzles we make it more interesting for your child.  Our platform helps your child to explore more concepts and stay ahead of their academics and gives them space to explore more of their choice by making math easy and fun.

Inquiry based learning

Inquiry-based learning in mathematics encourages students to explore, discover and analyze concepts on their own. It calls on students to take the initiative to construct their knowledge, rather than just receiving it from the teacher. It is a student-centered model that encourages students to actively explore, question, and analyze mathematical problems in order to build understanding. This method involves the use of guided questioning, open-ended exploration, and self-directed research in order to foster the development of critical-thinking skills and in-depth knowledge of a concept.

Reasoning

Explaining the core concept breaking it down into small portions and letting the child dissolve in it to see through how it's been built as a formula. This way the child doesn’t by heart formula instead they know the formation.  Reasoning skills in math involve being able to identify patterns, draw logical conclusions, and break down problems into smaller, more manageable parts.  Our mentors teach graphical interpretation involves visualizing mathematical concepts such as functions, equations, or relations to help students understand the concepts. Additionally, proof-based instruction helps students to construct proofs to test the validity and correctness of mathematical statements.

Concepts and Basics

For any grade the foundation is already laid from elementary, for some it's been from preschool, to help the child understand any concept better by clearing gaps with the basic operations, explaining the small details, and allowing them to work on their academics helps with the current grade progress. Our mentors guide them to revise, restore and apply the learned methods in their curriculum for better results.

Cognitive Ability

Cognitive skills refer to the mental processes that involve the knowledge, thoughts, memory, and reasoning of an individual. These skills are developed through experience, instruction, and practice, and involve the development of abilities such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. It is the process by which your child learns to think, reason, remember and understand new information, and to use existing knowledge in the context of new situations.  It helps the children in gaining knowledge and understanding of the world, including how to think and how to solve problems. Allows them to learn and use language, to think logically and creatively, to remember, to plan and organize, and to interpret what they see and hear.

Logical Thinking

Logical thinking and problem-solving involve analyzing patterns and relationships in order to find a solution. Other strategies include looking at the problem from different perspectives, organizing data visually, constructing generalizations, asking questions, and making conjectures. We help your child in breaking down problems into smaller pieces, analyze each part, and organize the data to develop strategies for solving the overall problem. Understanding the relationships between divisions, ratios, and fractions, accurately solving equations, comparing numbers and developing algorithms can also help with problem-solving in math.

Active Learning Method

Active math learning methods are ways to engage students in the math learning process, providing opportunities to think critically and use their resources effectively to learn math concepts. This includes problem-solving activities, group projects, games and simulations, field trips, hands-on experimentation, and virtual learning environments.

Our methods include puzzles, modeling, and games which help students to develop a concrete understanding as they physically interact with a mathematical concept to develop a deeper understanding of a concept and to engage students in math exploration.
